FamLink ("FamLink," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Allen Robertson. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. FamLink is a private family photo and video sharing app. We built it to keep your family moments private, and we treat your data accordingly.
Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to make the app work:
- Account information. Your first and last name and email address when you create an account.
- Photos and videos. The media you choose to share, along with any captions, and the groups you share them with.
- Reactions and comments. Emoji reactions and comments you add to shared posts.
- Group membership. The email addresses you enter to invite family members to your groups.
- Push notification tokens. A device identifier used to send you notifications about new posts, reactions, and comments. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
How We Use Your Information
- To deliver your photos and videos to the family groups you choose.
- To show reactions and comments and notify you of activity.
- To send invitation emails to people you add to a group.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the app.
- To manage subscriptions and access.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos, videos, or messages for advertising.
How Your Information Is Shared
Your photos, videos, captions, reactions, and comments are visible only to the members of the groups you share them with. They are never public.
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the app, including cloud hosting and database services, subscription management, push notification delivery, and transactional email. These providers process data only on our behalf and only to provide their services.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your associated personal data, photos, and videos, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.
Your Choices and Rights
- You can edit your profile and manage your groups within the app.
- You can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
- You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen.
- You may request access to or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below.
Children's Privacy
FamLink is intended for adults sharing photos within their families. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated within the app where appropriate.
